The Charles E. Lakin Pier

Overview

Coming in 2026, the Charles E. Lakin Pier will offer a unique above-water experience along the Missouri River near Tom Hanafan River’s Edge Park. Extending beyond the river’s edge, the pier will give visitors a new perspective of the river and surrounding landscape with scenic views of Council Bluffs and Omaha. While the pier is not yet open to the public, it is set to become a signature riverfront destination when completed.
