Hold onto your hats and prepare for a day filled with wagging tails and lightning-fast legs, although they may be short! The much-anticipated Omaha Corgi Races are set to take place on Saturday, May 11, promising a spectacle of adorable athleticism and pure canine excitement.
Organized by the Omaha Corgi Crew, presented by the Omaha Sports Commission, and supported by Gold Sponsors Buzztime, Best Buy Signs, and 402 Frenchies, this year's event is gearing up to be bigger, bolder, and more bark-tastic than ever before. Corgi lovers from all over are invited to witness the furry frenzy at River’s Edge Park, where the cutest competitors will gather to compete for the champion title of the fastest Corgi in the Metro.
As with prior events, this year’s racing event will benefit local rescues through the Omaha Corgi Crew’s annual fundraising efforts, with the Grand Champion selecting the rescue to receive proceeds generated by the races. There is a first with this year’s event - the races will be streamed online! Live video will be provided by our streaming sponsor, Buzztime (a subsidiary of eGames). The Omaha Corgi Races are a celebration of the beloved short-legged breed and a chance for families and dog enthusiasts alike to come together for a day of laughter, camaraderie, and exhilarating races! For liability reasons and the safety of all racing dogs and attendees, only registered racing dogs are allowed to attend this event (ADA-certified service dogs are allowed).
