Get your hands muddy and your creativity flowing in this fun and inspiring five-week pottery wheel series just for teens! Pottery & Punch at the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center is all about learning the art of clay while hanging out in a welcoming, laid-back space with other young creatives. The Hoff is located in the historic Haymarket District, this multi-use facility serves as a hub for creative activity, including educational offerings and classrooms, artist studios and exhibition galleries, culinary arts and teaching kitchens, and a theater. The center also has event spaces for live music, and gatherings.
Whether you’ve never touched a pottery wheel before or already have a little clay cred, this class will take you step by step through the process of creating something beautiful (and totally your own). You’ll get to throw on the wheel, shape your pieces, trim and glaze them, and finally, celebrate your work in a gallery-style showcase.
The Teen Pottery Series runs on Saturdays from October 4 through November 1, from 12–2 PM, and is open to ages 13–19. Registration is $125 for members and $150 for nonmembers. Spots are limited, so don’t miss your chance to throw some clay, sip some punch, and make something amazing!
