Stir Cove Traffic Management & Information

The 2022 Stir Concert Cove series is here and there are some things to know if you plan to drive! The 1-29 construction project is currently underway and as a result, has reduced interstate travel. Repurposed municipal roads are being used in place of the normal interstate routing.

Follow signs, signals, and all directions from law enforcement!

  • Overhead messaging boards and portable signboards along the I-29 route to the Stir will provide you with information on what lanes you can move to so you are in the best position to avoid travel difficulties.
  • The above map provides general information on the traffic flow patterns that will be implemented during concert events at the Stir Cove venue on Harrah's property.
  • Law enforcement personnel will be on-site, directing traffic through the area as well as into and exiting the venue.
  • Please slow down and help us keep our law enforcement and transportation personnel safe as they work to help minimize your travel disruptions.
  • Give yourself additional time! Don't wait to head to the show to get there "just in time" - you should expect travel delays getting to, through, and out of the venue during this construction period.
  • Delays cannot be eliminated but there are over a dozen agencies and organizations contributing to the effort of mitigating as many influences as possible to keep delays at a minimum.

Whether you're coming in for a show or traveling the area for other business, please check out the latest information on the Pottawattamie County Emergency Management’s website.
