Our course is designed to improve a driver's skills, focusing on preventing accidents and responding safely to potential hazards on the road. The course includes both theoretical and practical elements, where participants learn techniques to reduce the risk of accidents and improve their ability to make safe decision while driving.
Enjoy a delicious Staley’s Broasted Chicken Dinner and support Corpus Christi Parish! Sunday, November 1st at St. Albert Catholic School.
The meal includes broasted chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing, green beans, corn, coleslaw, a dinner roll, and dessert. Dine in or take out. Pricing is $15 per dinner for ages 9 and up, $10 for ages 4 to 8, and free for ages 3 and under.
Attendees can also participate in a $4,000 Grand Prize raffle and browse a silent auction, theme baskets, crafts, market stand, and more.

Heartsaver Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid Adult and Asthma care Video (BLSC-07)

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED (Asthma care video is optional) online is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs first aid & CPR AED training and a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. The course is intended for those involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in children/infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. REV Event 2026 is all about bold ideas, local innovation and the people driving both forward. Whether you’re launching something new or growing an established business, REV is designed to help business owners and their ideas make an impact.
Five finalists will pitch live on stage for a share of the prize pool, on Thursday, November 5, from 4–7 PM at the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center.
TS Bank originally started REV in 2015 in an effort to spur economic growth and encourage business owners to continue pursuing their dreams. In 2020, TS Bank and Advance Southwest Iowa partnered together to offer entrepreneurs and business owners the chance to "ignite their business." The 2025 event crossed the $177,000 threshold total awarded through this program.

Join author Terri Leedom for a presentation of her story and books focused on dementia. She’ll discuss her background and inspiration for her first book, My Silly Granny, a children’s book about dementia, as well as her book Play the Game, written for adult caregivers. Terri will discuss what dementia is, including early signs, diagnosis, and daily living with the disease, and talk about her mom’s journey with it.
Her presentation will conclude with questions, discussion and stories from the audience.
Terri Leedom is a retired graphic designer and an award-winning author and speaker. Her first book, My Silly Granny (2022), is a light-hearted children’s book inspired by her mother’s journey with dementia and has won three children’s book awards. Her second book, Play the Game, is written for adult caregivers and offers heartfelt insight, guidance, and shared experiences from those supporting loved ones through dementia.

This course is the basic course on understanding dealer responsibilities. This class will serve as a refresher course and will teach the requirements of being an auto dealer in Iowa and how to maintain a dealer’s license. Updates on changes to state and federal law, rules and regulations will be provided. The trainer will discuss new laws enacted during the most recent legislative session impacting auto dealers as well as providing new information from federal and state agencies pertaining to the auto industry. Dealers will be encouraged to bring forth areas of concern to assist with possible solutions to these concerns. Dealers will review videos from the staff of the Iowa Department of Transportation Bureau of Investigation and Identity Protection and the Consumer Protection Division of the Iowa Attorney General’s office.

The Iowa Driver Improvement (DIP) will examine attitudes and behavior in relation to driving. It will focus on teaching drivers how their behind the wheel attitude affects their driving behavior. Its purpose is to give participants an opportunity to reflect on their driving behavior and make a commitment to positively alter their daily driving experience.

Join Naturalist and craftsman Dustin Clayton for a three-part exploration of the art of making beautiful, functional musical instruments out of clay. During this series, you will learn a bit of the history surrounding humanity’s relationship with clay, how clay is formed in the earth, and some of the various ways that ceramics have been used to make music for thousands of years. We will also learn a very little bit about musical theory, focusing on the different sorts of scales you can play on a vessel flute. The main focus of our time will be spent creating flutes, ocarinas, and other wind instruments directly from clay. We will learn how to shape and refine our instruments, how to correctly form the mouthpiece so that the flute will be playable, and we will discuss drying and shrinkage as it relates to keeping the flute in tune. The finished pieces will be fired offsite and we will schedule a time for you to pick them up once firing is complete.

This class is for those that were arrested for an OWI over the age of 18. Class is designed to help each person reduce risk for any type of alcohol or drug problem by helping them understand and accept the need to make necessary changes to reduce the risk for future problems. The class meets state requirements under sections 321J.2 and 321J.17, Subsection 2, and is open to anyone wishing to better understand their problem. Students with limited English proficiency must provide their own interpreter.

He will tell the story of Standing Bear's arrest for leaving Indian Territory to bury his son in his homeland on the Niobrara. From your fluffiest friends to dogs you didn't know existed before, you'll see the cutest four-legged friends strutting their stuff in the rings for the big prize. This is a family-friendly event and is perfect for all ages.
The Council Bluffs Kennel Club, a 501(c)(3) organization, was established in 1962 for the betterment of our canine friends through public education, community activities, and various canine-related events.
Each year our signature event, the Council Bluffs Kennel Club Dog Show, gives our members and other passionate dog lovers the chance to showcase some of the best dogs in the country.
As an AKC-registered Club, we are excited to bring this event to Council Bluffs and the surrounding community.
Please register at least two weeks prior to the scheduled date. On that day, you'll attend a 4-hour review and Q&A session with the instructor, followed by the 2-hour certification exam. A ServSafe study guide will be mailed to your address on file upon registration. This is an independent study - ServSafe Manager course—students are expected to study the materials on their own in advance. The testing day includes a brief Q&A session and ends with the national certification exam. The course provides essential food safety knowledge for food handlers, covering topics such as foodborne illness, contamination, receiving and storing food, preparation, service, hygiene, sanitation, pest control, and inspections. It is ideal for those in restaurants, long-term care, assisted living, schools, food trucks, and small food businesses.

Help save lives by donating blood at the Pottawattamie County Blood Drive in partnership with the American Red Cross. Blood donations are essential for patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, trauma care, and other medical emergencies. Just one donation can help save up to three lives.
The blood drive will take place in the training room on the main floor of the Public Health building. Parking is available on the south side of the building.
