We Love America Family and Fireworks Evening at the Fair
July 1 | 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Westfair
Gather your family and friends and head on over to our ’We Love America Family and Fireworks Night' at Westfair in Council Bluffs on Saturday, July 1st! This family-friendly event is free to the public. There will be food trucks, inflatables, face painting, balloon creations, time to honor our Military and Law Enforcement, live music by the Jimmy Weber Band with opener, Mary Todd, and a special visit from Abraham Lincoln! Wrap up the night celebrating America with a breathtaking display of fireworks. Bring a lawn chair or blankets and all of your family and friends! This is not an evening you want to miss!

Please join us for our Annual Free Community Celebration! Come enjoy an afternoon of live old-time music, free tours, free food and drink, and much more!
Oakland Independence Day Celebration
July 4 | 7:00 a.m. - dusk
Chautauqua Park
Enjoy a family-friendly day in Oakland on July 4th! The day starts with the annual fire department pancake breakfast from 7-10:30 am. The car show by Arbor Bank runs from 9 am-3 pm with live music. Vendors, food, and other booths will be set up beginning at 9 am and run until noon or later. Nishna Heritage Museum will be open from 11 am-4 pm with crafts for kids and a scavenger hunt for older kids and adults. The swimming pool will be open from 12-5 pm. Return to the park at dusk for the grand fireworks show!
Fire in the Sky: Fourth of July in Avoca

City of Avoca
Join Avocans for an iconic small town 4th of July celebration. Events on Avoca Main Street, the charming historical downtown, begin at 11 a.m. and include a kids pedal tractor pull, classic auto show, food vendors, and midway games to fundraise for our community's Legion Hall restoration project. At 2 p.m. hundreds line the street for one of the best parades in southwest Iowa. Celebrations continue at Edgington Memorial Park, and conclude at dusk with a fireworks display at the Avoca CountryView Golf Course, visible from almost anywhere in the city. This year's parade theme is Fire in the Sky, and the Avoca Volunteer Fire Department is our Grand Marshall.
Lake Manawa Fireworks

The Council Bluffs community looks forward to this beautiful celebration every summer! Whether you enjoy the fireworks from the water or the shoreline of our beautiful lake, we know you'll feel the pride we have for our city and country. The show will begin at 10:00 p.m. on July 4th!
